   Now, in a website, we have successfully integrated SMS service and email service. Then we went a step further and accomplished integration of web video conferencing feature into our web designing as well. This is quite a challenging task, and of course hugely rewarding too.

   Enabling web video conferencing in websites traditionally is a very complicated task. It involves high implementation and operational costs.  It also makes web designing very cumbersome. Given all this, we at Metis Technologies Coimbatore, implemented our innovation and came up with a solution that is very cost effective and user friendly.

The web video conferencing feature that we implemented in our web designing can work in three modes:

1. One to one chats: Here, two people can talk to each other on the online video conference. This mode is suitable for more of a private discussion. Typical scenarios like confidential decision making, resolution of technical issues from a remote place find this mode the most useful.
2. Chat conference room: This is more like a seminar. In this mode, we can support up to 30 people per chat room and extend support to hold several such chat room sessions. Scenarios like online team meetings, with team members spread across different geographical locations can utilize this feature.
3. Live broadcasting: This is a video streaming intended for a specific audience. The broadcast is done with the help of a camera. A specific group of users with valid credentials can login to the website and view this streaming video. this mode is best suited in scenarios where an instructor/ trainer needs to deliver a lecture or speech or presentation to a group of students or trainees and the users are all located far way from one another.

   Coming to the technical requirements of using the web video conferencing feature, the users absolutely need no equipment like specific hardware’s or software’s like media players, plug-in, encoders etc. All that is required to start off the online video conference is 512 mbps internet connectivity and a webcam. There are no specific set of user guidelines as prerequisites.

This feature is designed in a very user friendly way.

   Other features include exclusive voice conference and text chat facilities. Users can text chat and voice chat with each other as they do on instant messengers. The web video conferencing feature is highly scalable under high bandwidth hosting and can handle simultaneous multiple users from the same domain. This system is robust to support and operate in multiple modes.
